The Maharashtra cyber cell has called actress Tamannaah Bhatia in the most recent development in the Mahadev betting app case. She has been called in connection with the marketing of Fairplay, the Mahadev betting app’s sibling app. The actress is scheduled to make an appearance on April 29. In relation to the unauthorised broadcasting of the Indian Premier League (IPL) via the Fairplay app last year, Tamannaah has been called in for interrogation. Because of this streaming, Viacom had to pay out crores of rupees in losses.
On April 23, actor Sanjay Dutt was also called in relation to this, but he did not show up since he was out of the country. Dutt had insisted on receiving the next day and time for recording his statement from the cyber cell.
In conjunction with the investigation into the money laundering case pertaining to the purportedly illicit operations of the Mahadev online gaming and betting programme, which allegedly involved politicians and bureaucrats from Chhattisgarh, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) made its ninth arrest earlier this year.
One of the two main suspects in the Mahadev online betting app case, Ravi Uppal, was taken into custody by Dubai Police in December of last year. Based on a red notice that Interpol had issued at the ED’s request, he was taken into custody by the local police in Dubai.
Regarding her professional life, Tamannaah most recently starred with Dino Morea and Dileep in the action drama film Bandra, which was produced in Malayalam.
