Soon after he took oath as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Mohan Yadav on Wednesday ordered a ban on “unregulated use of loudspeakers in religious places and other public places”.
The newly elected Chief Minister also imposed a ban on open sale of meat.
He directed that the guidelines on the basis of orders given by the Supreme Court and NationL Green Tribunal on the use of loudspeakers be immediately implemented.
Mr Yadav further said that a flying squad will be constituted in all the districts of Madhya Pradesh that will monitor the sound levels of loudspeakers and DJs at the religious places.
The BJP legislator and MLA from Ujjain South Mohan Yadav was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday.
The 58-year-old leader was administered oath at the Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal by the state Governor Manghubai Patel.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda, his predecessor Shivraj Singh Chouhan among other top BJP leaders took part in oath taking ceremony.
