In order to discuss a direct metro line between Greater Noida and New Delhi Railway Station, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, or DMRC, met with the Yamuna Authority on Tuesday. The length of this line will be 37 kilometres. The goal of the activity is to link Greater Noida with the direct line from the New Delhi Metro Station to Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. A contract was made between the DMRC and the Yamuna Authority to create a DPR for the planned project.
This track will be installed independently. It will link New Delhi Railway Station with Knowledge Park Metro Station.
DMRC has already created the DPR for the Knowledge Park Station line’s connection to the planned Noida International Airport at Jewar. The project has received official approval. Additionally, a study on the initial feasibility of the Knowledge Park-New Delhi Railway Station metro line would be presented to the relevant authorities.
This suggested route might connect Jewar Airport with IGI Airport by way of New Delhi Airport. People may also be offered the chance to check in for flights on this line. Every day, hundreds of passengers take the metro to travel to the airport from Noida and other stations.
Once the corridor is built, it will take just one hour to travel between the two stations. On the new line, 11 stations are anticipated.
This route will have 34 kilometres on an elevated platform. These stations will be situated so that they can be added to the current Delhi-Noida route.
The submission deadline is March 31, 2023.
The NCR region is seeing a rapid expansion of the DMRC and NMRC’s footprints. The Greater Noida West and Noida metro line connection project was just given the Center’s approval.
Soon, a line from Sector 142 in Noida to the Botanical Garden Station in Noida will run parallel to the expressway.
