On September 8, the legendary singer Asha Bhosle will perform in Dubai to celebrate her 90th birthday.
The veteran singer will perform some of her most enduring songs at the ‘Asha@90 Live’ performance, which will take place at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on her birthday.
On Tuesday, Bhosle chatted with the media and discussed the concert. She also sang the song ‘Tu Tu Hai Wahi’.
The Padma Vibhushan recipient has recorded songs for films and albums in a variety of languages during her career. She has also been nominated for two Grammy Awards, two National Film Awards, 18 Maharashtra State Film Awards, and many other honours.
She is regarded as one of India’s most influential vocalists and has more than 12,000 songs to her name in a variety of languages.
The singer, who is renowned for her versatility, has collaborated with a variety of music producers from several generations, including O.P. Nayyar, Khayyam, Shankar-Jaikishan, R.D. Burman (whom she married in 1980), A.R. Rahman, and Ilaiyaraaja, among others.
She is a renowned member of the Mangeshkar family and the sister of the late playback vocalist Lata Mangeshkar.
She began her film career with low-budget films before finally moving on to contribute her voice to some of Hindi cinema’s biggest hits.
