Starring Kriti Sanon, Tabu, and Kareena Kapoor Crew had a successful opening weekend at the box office and garnered favourable reviews from viewers. After a week of release, the film has not yet crossed the ₹50 crore threshold, according to news agency’s most recent box office update. The plot of Crew centres on the journey of three devoted ladies against the backdrop of the aviation sector.
According to preliminary calculations, Crew made ₹ 3.46 on its second Friday, the story continues. With no significant releases scheduled for the next two days, Crew is anticipated to have a strong window at the box office. Within seven days of the release, the crew made ₹ 43.75 crore in total. Taking into account the data from Day 8, Crew is currently projected to have collected ₹ 47.21 crore in total to date. The report also states that on Friday, the crew’s Hindi occupancy rate was 11.29%.
Kareena, Tabu, and Krirti play air hostesses in the crew who are having financial difficulties because their employer has not paid them. When they learn that a deceased passenger was hiding gold biscuits under his shirt, their lives take a drastic change. Alongside Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Saswata Chatterjee, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda, the cast of the heist comedy also features. It is produced by Anil Kapoor Film & Communications Network and Balaji Telefilms.
While the storyline appears pretty novel and full of potential to be a different heist comedy, the sloppy screenplay and non linear narrative often allow inconsistency to creep in. Writers Nidhi Mehra and Mehul Suri keep their game strong with some funny one-liners and comic punches, most of which trigger genuine laughter, even though some jokes fall flat.
