Kavitha Claims ‘Demons’ Around KCR Damaging BRS, Considers Alternative Political Path

After a letter she wrote to her father and party chairman K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) was leaked, K Kavitha, an MLC for the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), unleashed a vicious attack on insiders and the party leadership.

Speaking to the media, Kavitha said that the BRS was being undermined from within while efforts were underway to combine the party with the BJP. She also questioned the source of the leak. “I wrote hundreds of letters. What’s wrong in writing a letter?” Kavitha said, expressing anguish over the leak. “I want to know who leaked the letter. You’re not finding the culprits of the leak but showing power on me.” She reiterated, “Who leaked the letter?”

Additionally, Kavitha said that others approached her with misleading information purporting to be from KCR. “People came to me as KCR’s messengers and gave false information. I am extremely hurt,” she said.

Kavitha was clear on the subject of a potential BRS-BJP merger. “I feel BRS will be given to BJP. This proposal came to me when I was in jail. I opposed it then and I oppose it now,” she stated. Alleging that attempts were still underway, she added, “Through Chandrababu they want to come. I told them clearly – BRS should not be merged with BJP.” Kavitha warned that such a move would affect lakhs of party workers and said, “I’m ready to go to jail for one year, but I won’t allow this.”

When she accused party officials of undermining her chances in the most recent elections, she did not mince words. “Why is BRS so weak now? Which party coverts are there? BJP coverts are there?” she asked. “BJP leaders’ hospitals were opened by whom? Party converts defeated me in the election.” She urged the leadership to take control: “Coverts should be controlled. KCR should be protected. Plug the moles in the party.” She cautioned that if the party remained weak, it would give room for the BJP and Congress to grow. “BRS shouldn’t confine itself to just tweets,” she said, questioning the leadership’s plans if KCR were to receive official notices. “What is the action plan if KCR gets notices? What is being done in villages?”

Kavitha also questioned the party’s lack of response in support of her and accused certain people and media outlets of launching smear campaigns against her. “Some paid artists and paid social media are talking about me. The daughter of the party is being targeted, but the party isn’t talking,” she said. “Don’t use your paid artists on me. When I start talking, it won’t be good.”

“One major paper is writing about me,” she continued, alluding to media scrutiny. I’ve not been saved by the party. However, the party reacted right away in the instance of another prominent leader. Regarding her future political trajectory, Kavitha realised that she was being marginalised inside BRS. “There is a plot to keep me away from the party. She declared, “I will only work under KCR’s guidance. “Why should I deny setting up a party in the future?” she asked when asked about throwing a fresh party. Who can predict what will occur?
