Ved, a movie starring Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza, is performing well at the box office. In addition to being Riteish’s third Marathi movie in a prominent role, the movie also served as his directing debut. In addition to the film’s audience’s continued support, Riteish’s buddy and director Karan Johar has also written a poignant statement for Ved and its principal performers.
On Wednesday, Karan Johar released one of the official Ved posters with Riteish and Genelia on his verified social media account. “We’ve known one other for 20 years… a friendship that wasn’t based on our shared occupation (which is uncommon)… I felt a connection with him right away when we first met because to his blatant goodness, his enormous heart, and his outstanding affability. He was always the popular good guy. Why would you? It’s him,” KJo captioned the photo.
The 50-year-old director and producer continued, “A solid outstanding actor who perhaps may have even been little underestimated… He has always defended Marathi cinema by standing tall and strong. Today Riteish has proven to be not only a fantastic performer and director, but also the creator of a legendary Marathi blockbuster. As I type this, I am overcome with emotion and great pride.
“Genelia and him have always had a fairy tale romance that transferred so wonderfully on celluloid,” Karan concluded. Well done, my friend! I adore you both, @geneliad and @riteishd. Always show respect and applause. #Ved.” In no time, a number of Instagram fans praised Riteish and Genelia’s film and concurred with Karan in the comments area.
For the uninitiated, Ved, a Marathi movie, came out on December 30, 2022, one week after Cirkus, directed by Rohit Shetty.
