In connection with the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez made an appearance before Delhi’s Patiala House court on Monday. Around ten o’clock in the morning, Jacqueline and her attorneys Prashant Patil and Shakti Pandey arrived at the courthouse. The prosecution will present its arguments to the judge.
The hearing in the case was postponed until December 20 by Patiala House Court following a brief hearing.
A Delhi court had earlier in November granted bail to the actor, stating that the fact that the suspect had not been detained during the inquiry supported the award of bail. The prosecution requested extra time to prepare its arguments on the charge issue, thus the Delhi court postponed the case’s arguments until December 12 on November 24.
On the condition that she would not leave the country without the court’s prior approval, Special Judge Shailendra Malik gave her respite in exchange for a personal bail of Rs 2 lakh. Jacqueline Fernandez was also instructed to participate in the investigation if the Enforcement Directorate requested her to (ED). She later appeared before the court during the brief hearings after presenting the personal bond.
In the supplementary charge sheet, Fernandez, who had previously been subpoenaed by the ED in connection with the investigation, was for the first time listed as an accused. According to the federal agency’s report, Chandrasekhar, who is now detained, is accused of defrauding a number of well-known people.
In the meantime, actress Nora Fatehi showed up before the ED on Friday to have a new recording of her testimony taken as part of the ongoing money laundering investigation into alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar and his colleagues.
