According to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Mohammed Sinwar, a prominent Hamas leader, was killed by Israel in a recent airstrike in the Gaza Strip.
In his address to the legislature, Mr. Netanyahu listed Sinwar among the Hamas leaders slain by Israeli strikes.
Mohammed is the brother of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, who was murdered by Israeli forces last year and was one of the masterminds of the Oct. 7, 2023 attack.
