India reports 2.86 lakh fresh Covid cases that is just 0.1% increase in cases. The rising cases are under 3 lakh mark for third consecutive days but the positivity rate is still a matter if concern as it has reached 20%.
India is the second worst hit country after US in the world with total tally now at 4.03 crore.
The active cases are now just 5.46% of the total cases which stands at 22,02,472 and the national recovery rate has decreased to 92.33%.
The deaths reported in last 24 hours stood at 573, and at least 60% of the deceased patients were either partially of fully unvaccinated, said the Health Ministry.
At the vaccination front, the total administered doses now have crossed 163.84 mark. So far, India’s 72% adult population is now fully vaccinated and 52% of children aged between 15 and above have received their first dose.
