The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported 44,111 new COVID-19 infections in India in the last 24 hours on Saturday morning (July 3, 2021).
With this, the country’s active caseload has gone below five lakh for the first time in nearly 100 days, and now stands at 4, 95,533.
There were also 738 new corona virus-related fatalities in India, with 57,477 recoveries. There have been 4, 01,050 fatalities and 2, 96, 05,779 discharges in the country so far.
The national weekly positivity rate is now 2.50 percent, while the daily positivity rate is 2.35 percent and the recovery rate is 97.06 percent, respectively.
Meanwhile, India has administered over 34 crore vaccination doses to date.
