India Launches ‘Operation Away To Bring Back Indians From War Hit Israel

In the middle of a full-scale conflict with the Hamas organization in Gaza, India has started Operation Ajay to assist in the return of residents from Israel. In Israel, there are 18,000 Indians.

“Special charter flights and other arrangements are being put in place. Fully committed to the safety and well-being of our nationals abroad,” Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said in a post on X.

The nation’s embassy in Israel stated in a another post that the first group of Indians who had registered to return have been contacted and will board the first special flight to India tomorrow.

“The Embassy has emailed the first lot of registered Indian citizens for the special flight tomorrow. Messages to other registered people will follow for subsequent flights,” the post read.

Five days after Hamas fighters slaughtered citizens in their homes and on the streets in an unprecedented attack on Israeli territory, Israel established an emergency government to administer the group’s war against the terrorist organization.

Thousands have died over the last five days, with Israel responding to the killings with a massive bombardment of the Gaza Strip which Hamas rules.

Israel appears to be preparing for a potential ground assault as it has gathered its armed forces around the besieged Palestinian enclave.

Israel stated that Hamas had also taken about 150 captives. Among them are two Mexicans, at least 14 Thais, and an unspecified number of Americans and Germans.

On Tuesday, Israel and terrorists in Syria engaged in gunfire after the army reported that explosives had been shot at the Golan Heights.
