After Abhinav Bindra in Shooting, Neeraj Chopra is India’s second-ever individual gold medalist at the Olympics.

Earlier on Saturday, Indian golfer Aditi Ashok increased Indian hopes for a record golf medal, but she was beaten to bronze by Lydia Ko by one shot. Bajrang Punia won a sixth medal for India at the Tokyo Games by defeating Daulet Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan 8:0 in his bronze medal match.
