India Continues With Its Declining Trend With 70,421 Cases Today

According to Union Health Ministry India on Monday continuing with its declining trend has recorded 70,421 fresh Covid-19 cases with 3,921 deaths taking the case tally to 29,510,410 and death toll to 374,305. It has been the lowest number of cases recorded since April 1. Monday’s case count has been the lowest since April 1, when 72,330 people tested positive for the viral disease.

The recoveries have also been outnumbering the new number of cases for 32 days now. Over 119,000 patients have recovered in last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 28,162,947 in the country, said the health ministry, while the active cases in the country stand at 973,158 which is 3.49% of the total caseload.

The total samples tested in last 24 hours were about 1.5 million that has taken the total samples tested so far to 379,624,626, said the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

From Monday many states and Union Territories have ordered more relaxations in their unlocking plan.

In Delhi, shop and malls will be allowed to operate every day from 8 am to 10 pm while restaur0ants are also allowed to open with 50% of occupancy.

Meanwhile, Haryana has extended its lockdown for a week more. Although, shops will be allowed to open between 9 am to 8 pm and malls between 10 am to 8 pm. Industrial activities are allowed with proper maintenance of Covid appropriate behaviour.
