A liquor store in Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan went under an auction that started at 11 in the morning and ended in the wee hours after midnight.
The auction started with an initial bid of Rs 72 lakh and kept increasing after bid to bid. Now the highest price for the liquor store stands at Rs 510 crore.
The Excise Department too did not expect to go this much high. Two women from a single family finally purchased it. One of those two women was Kiran Kanwar.
The news of the auction is getting viral on a very fast face and people just shocked as they are unable to just digest it.
However, the same store was auctioned at just Rs 65 Lakh in 2020.
Such auctioning for the liquor shops is not anything new in the state of Rajasthan. Currently virtual bidding for 7,665 such liquor shops are going on.
The practice was banned by the Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje but it got again started in the state by the current acting Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
