On Thursday, November 28, Hemant Soren will be sworn in as Jharkhand’s 14th chief minister in a lavish ceremony at Ranchi’s Morabadi Ground.
Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar will deliver the oath to Hemant Soren at 4 p.m. Hemant Soren would take the oath by himself, according to Congress general secretary and Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmad Mir, who also stated that he would enlarge his cabinet following an assembly vote of confidence.
Several prominent dignitaries, including important members of the INDIA block, will attend the inauguration. Hemant Soren posted a link to a live YouTube webcast of his swearing-in ceremony and urged everyone to attend.
Hemant Soren stated, “It’s heartening to have such esteemed leaders join us for this important occasion”, during a visit to assess event preparations on Wednesday.
In addition to extra traffic and security precautions for the main ceremony, posters have been placed across the city. In the most recent assembly elections, Soren defeated Gamliyel Hembrom of the BJP by 39,791 votes to win the Barhait seat, marking his fourth term as the state’s chief minister.
In the 81-member assembly, Soren’s JMM-led alliance won 56 seats, while the BJP-led NDA only won 24.
