A grenade by means of rocket was fired at Punjab’s Tarn Taran police station on Saturday around 1 am in night. However, there was no death and the building of the police station was also not affected as the immediately bounced back after hitting a pillar.
Currently, DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav and teams of forensic experts are present at the police station. The rocket was powerful but it could not damage the building, said the sources.
As per the information, the attack is expected to be carried out by the Khalistan-supported terrorists under patronage of ISI, Pakistani intelligence unit. It is said that the attack is a response by the ISI for the death of Harvinder Singh Rinda to maintain his terror in region.
Recently, Harivinder Singh Rinda was shot dead in Pakistan. He was gangster-turned-Khalistani terrorist. The Gangster group Davindee Bambiha took the responsibility of his murder.
Rinda was named as a mastermind of the RPG attack on Punjab Police intelligence office in Mohali which was conducted in May this year. His name was even highlighted in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala.
Apart from this, he was part of manu other terror instances and was a member of prohibited Khalistani outfit Babbar Khalsa International.
Meanwhile, sources from police say that Rinda was hospitalized for 15 days because of kidney failure and he died.
