Gippy Grewal, a Punjabi musician, had pleaded with music producers not to broadcast any of Sidhu Moosewala’s unfinished or unpublished tracks.
Sidhu, 28, was shot and killed by unknown attackers near his home in Mansa, Punjab.
“We beg that all music producers with whom Sidhu has previously collaborated refrain from releasing or sharing his finished/unfinished recordings,” Gippy wrote. If his work is leaked, we will pursue legal action against those responsible. After Sidhu’s Bhog on June 8th, please send over all of the content to his father.”
Gippy also advised all of Sidhu’s relatives and friends not to disclose anything with music producers in the note.
“Also, please do not reveal anything if someone from his extended family or friends contacts any of his music producers for his work. He wrote, “His father should be the only one who gets to decide everything.”
