Four Booked For Parliament Security Breach Under Terrorism Charges

The alleged mastermind behind the Parliament security breach Lalit Mohan Jha was finally arrested on Thursday after he surrendered to the police.

Lalit was handed over to the Delhi Police’s Special Cell after he along with another man reached the Kartavya Path Police station.

Four people have been booked with the charges of terrorism under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for the security breach incident in the Parliament premises. Two of them – Manoranjan D and Sagar Sharma entered the Lok Sabha chamber using visitor pass in name of BJP MP Pratap Simha and set off smoke canisters while, the other two — Anmol Shinde and Neelam Devi set off yellow smoke outside the Parliament.

The attack on the Parliament came on the 22nd anniversary of Parliament attack that happened in 2001.

The Delhi Police Special Cell is now interrogating Lalit Jha in connection with the master plan. It is so far found out that Lalit had shared a video of the attack to his fellows on WhatsApp.

According to the sources fron Police, after the attack Lalit went to Kuchaman to meet his friend named Mahesh, who helped him in arranging a room for him to spend the night. However, no mobile phones were recovered from Lalit and the other accused and it is believed that they might have destroyed the mobile phones in Rajasthan.
