Amit Shah, the union home minister, declared on Sunday that protesters will be hanged upside down if the BJP takes power in Bihar in 2025, days after reports of communal violence from Sasaram and Nalanda.
Additionally, Shah asserted that under the BJP administration, riots have never occurred.
Bihar’s Sasaram and Nalanda districts have experienced rioting, according to Shah, who was speaking to a crowd at a gathering in the Hisua block of the Nawada district of Bihar.
“It was unfortunate that I was unable to attend an event in Sasaram to commemorate Samrat Ashok’s birth anniversary. In Sasaram, the scenario is abnormal. On the day of the Ram Navami march, shooting took place. I sincerely apologise to the residents of Sasaram and assure them that I will return to hold a gathering there, Shah said.
“I contacted the governor of Bihar following the violence in Sasaram and Nalanda to express my worry about the law and order situation in these two locations, but JD-U national president Lalan Singh felt bad about it. In terms of maintaining law and order in these two areas, the Nitish Kumar administration has failed. I have to be worried about it because Bihar is a part of our nation and I am the Union Home Minister, Shah said.
“We never engage in vote-based politics. We will hang the protesters upside down if our government takes office in the Center in 2024 and the BJP takes office in Bihar in 2025. Riots are causing Bihar to ignite. I beseech God that things return to normal as quickly as possible,” he said.
“I want to let you know that half of the JD-U MPs are knocking on the BJP’s door, but I want to be explicit that there will never be another alliance with Nitish Kumar. Nitish Kumar’s access to the BJP is permanently blocked, and nobody should continue to believe that they will permit him to join the NDA following the 2024 Lok Sabha election. We won’t support Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is regarded as the head of corruption, and Nitish Kumar, who is accountable for contaminating society on the basis of caste. Before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Mahagathbandhan administration will be overthrown, according to Shah.
