Faridabad Police Issues Advisory, Imposes Traffic Diversions As Bharat Jodo Yatra To Enter Delhi

The Bharat Jodo Yatra of Rahul Gandhi has arrived in Faridabad and will continue tomorrow to Delhi. Due to the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the Faridabad Police have issued a warning and massive traffic detours for Friday in the city.

After stopping for a breakfast break at Pakhal village at 10 a.m., the yatra will continue from Sohna’s Kherli Lala in Haryana. The yatra will resume from Pali Chowk at 3 o’clock and stop at Gopal Garden, Badkal Mor in Faridabad for an evening break.

At Gopal Garden, the Yatris will congregate for a corner meeting before stopping for the night in Faridabad.

The yatra is currently in Haryana after travelling through Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. It began in Kanyakumari on September 7 and will end in Kashmir.

DMK MP Kanimozhi and seasoned actor Kamal Haasan, along with other opposition MPs, are reportedly planning to accompany Rahul Gandhi on his yatra in Delhi.

According to PTI, the Delhi Police on Thursday stated that once the Bharat Jodo Yatra’s route is decided, a traffic alert will be released. On its 108th day, the yatra led by Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Delhi at 6 am on Saturday.

The traffic lanes from Ballabgarh to Sohna via Dhauj will be entirely shut down from 4 am to noon due to the Bharat Jodo Yatra’s entry into Faridabad today. Beginning at 4 pm, all sorts of vehicles travelling from Badkhal Chowk, Old Chowk, and Neelam Ajronda Chowk in the direction of NIT will be completely prohibited. The NH-2, the service road from the Neelam flyover leading to Delhi, and the Delhi-Mathura route will all be entirely closed to all sorts of traffic as well.

On both days of the yatra, heavy vehicle entry will be barred in Faridabad. The traffic advisory recommended commuters to plan their route in accordance with the advice to avoid any traffic-related problems.

After writing to former Congress president Gandhi and Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot urging them to consider stopping the yatra if Covid protocols could not be followed, Union Health Minister Mandaviya sparked a dispute. On Thursday, Rahul Gandhi said that the government is creating “excuses” to halt the “Bharat Jodo Yatra,”

“They claim that Covid-19 Omicron instances are rising as Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra approaches Delhi. The sub-variant was found in cases between August and November of this year. Why was Prime Minister Narendra Modi running for office in Gujarat when we learned about this surge variant? Why was a recent Millet Exclusive Lunch held at Parliament? “Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, a Congress member who was critical of the BJP, questioned.

It would take a pause of roughly eight days after landing in Delhi on December 24 before carrying on to Uttar Pradesh, Haryana (second phase), Punjab, and then Jammu & Kashmir.
