A couple was killed by their son on Wednesday after he felt embarrassed by his subpar academic performance, in a startling tragedy that rocked the nation’s capital. In addition to his parents, he also killed his sister. After solving the triple murder case, the Delhi police recognised Arjun as the culprit. Inside their home in the Neb Sarai neighbourhood of Delhi, the victims were fatally stabbed.
Arjun killed his sister and parents, according to Joint Commissioner of Police SK Jain, who spoke to a news outlet. The police officer claimed that Arjun killed because he felt his family had “neglected and insulted” him because of his subpar academic standing.
Rajesh Kumar (51), his wife Komal (46), and their daughter Kavita (23), were named as the victims. According to the authorities, Arjun, the couple’s son, found the dead when he got back from his morning stroll at around 5:30 am.
The authorities claim that Arjun has admitted to the triple killings. S.K. Jain elaborated on the murder case, saying that the bodies were discovered on the bed and that there were no indications of forced entry or larceny.
The police officer claimed that Arjun started to alter his comments while being questioned. According to the officer, he was unable to give a precise time of his departure or return.
Furthermore, Jain informed the news agency that Arjun, the defendant, had recently received injuries to his hand and was unable to provide an explanation for their location when questioned about them. Arjun failed academically but excelled at sports.
Arjun further disclosed during questioning that he was frequently reprimanded by his father for his subpar academic performance.
His father had physically assaulted him in front of other people only a few days prior. According to the news agency, Arjun was extremely irritated by these occurrences and felt envious of his parents’ apparent love for his sister over him, Jain disclosed. He had always feared that his sister would inherit all of his parents’ property.
Arjun came up with the idea to kill his whole family as a result. In the hopes that no one would catch him and that he could get away with it, he picked the day of his parents’ anniversary.
But it didn’t work out that way. Jain claimed that when Arjun made contradictory claims during police questioning, they started to have their doubts. Arjun finally admitted to killing his family after being coerced into doing so.
