Endemol Shine India today has launched a new project starring Guru Randhawa, a prominent singer-songwriter. Randhawa, 29, will make his acting debut in the film. In his music videos such as ‘Mehndi Waale Haath,’ ‘Nach Meri Rani,’ ‘Ishq Tera,’ ‘High Rated Gabru,’ ‘Patola,’ and the recently released ‘Nain Bengali,’ the multitalented singer and composer has already played the role of an army officer, a Punjabi munda, romanced Nushrratt Bharuccha, and danced with Nora Fatehi in his music video. The plot will follow the stormy journey of a young singer from the depths of anonymity to the pinnacles of money and status in a musical drama.

The film, which is now in production, will be a rollercoaster journey with lyrical and foot-tapping music featuring a well-known musical icon.
