Today marks the release of the trailer for Emraan Hashmi’s Ground Zero. Emraan Hashmi portrayed Narendra Nath Dubey, a BSF officer who oversaw the operation that resulted in the death of terrorist mastermind “Ghazi Baba” in the 2000s Kashmiri setting.
Tension in the valley rises as terrorists attack BSF forces in the first scene of the trailer. Following the rapid deaths of 60–70 men, Emraan Hashmi—whom a higher ranking officer has deemed to as the best man—enters the fray. A Kashmir story against the terrorists: what distinguishes this teaser is Emraan Hashmi’s sincere effort to alter Kashmir’s perspective rather than just rescuing the region from the militants’ grasp.
However, there is always a problem with the system when the same man (Emraan Hashmi’s character) changes his mind and demands a prahar (attack). He would prefer to see teenagers holding paintbrushes rather than pistols. However, is it possible for Officer Dubey to accomplish his task without using firearms? Sharing the trailer, Farhan Akhtar wrote, “A faceless enemy, a fearless officer. The hunt begins.”
Ground Zero, which was directed by Tejas Prabha and Vijay Deoskar, is based on real-life incidents. Sai Tamhankar, Zoya Hussain, Mukesh Tiwari, Deepak Parmesh, Lalit Prabhakar, Rockey Raina, and Rahul Vohra all play important roles in the movie, which stars Emraan Hashmi in the forefront. Ground Zero is slated to premiere on big screens on April 25 and is supported by Excel Entertainment, which is run by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
