Bihar was shaken early on Wednesday by an earthquake with a Richter Scale magnitude of 4.3.
The National Center for Seismology reports that Araria experienced earthquakes this morning at around 5.35 am. It stated that the earthquake was 10 kilometres deep.
There were no reports of property damage or fatalities brought on by the earthquake.
In the early hours of Wednesday, a second earthquake of a similar magnitude rocked Siliguri, West Bengal.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) is the organisation that originally reported the earthquakes, which occurred 140 km southwest of Siliguri.
The earthquake happened on Wednesday at 5:35 IST, according to the NCS. No harm was indicated.
