Amid the fear of possible protests in the national capital, the Delhi Police has placed a security alert as the war continues between Israel and Hamas.
Security forces have been deployed in huge numbers across the streets in Delhi. Security has been beefed up in the Israel Embassy and Jewish religious establishments.
To ensure that the Israelis staying in India are safe, other states and Union Territories have also been asked to be on alert in terms of security.
This comes after many countries including Germany, France, UK and US increased security around the “potential Jewish targets” and “pro-Palestinian protesters” as the conflict between Hamas and Israel continue to grow.
State administrations of Maharashtra, Goa and Himachal Pradesh have been asked to make sure the security of Israeli diplomats, tourists and staff.
Indian government on Friday brought back 211 Indians from war hit Israel in the first flight operated under ‘Operation Away. Out of these there were many adults and infants who were residing in the war-battered areas but now have landed safely in Delhi.
