Delhi NCR Receives Early Morning Rain, Temperature To Remain Moderate

On Saturday morning, torrential rain woke up some areas of Delhi, Noida, and Gurugram. The national capital will have mild to moderate rainfall on Saturday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

According to the Regional Weather Forecasting Centre (RWFC), “Light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of few places in Delhi, NCR (Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Faridabad), Rewari, Bawal, and Nuh (Haryana), as well as Hapur, Gulaoti, Siyana, Sikandrabad, and Bulandshahar (UP).”

It went on to say that the thunderstorm would bring light to moderate rain to many parts of Delhi (Burari, Badili, Model Town, Karawal Nagar, Azadpur, Delhi University, Civil Lines, Tughlakabad, Ayanagar, Deramandi), NCR (Loni Dehat), Hindon Air Force Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Gurugram, and Faridabad).

On Saturday, the IMD predicts a mostly cloudy sky with moderate rain throughout the city. Saturday’s maximum and minimum temperatures are forecast to be about 34 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.

According to an IMD official, the city will have a mainly gloomy sky with the risk of moderate rain and thundershowers.

Civil Lines, Laxmi Nagar, and Lajpat Nagar had rainfall on Friday, and areas of the city, including Jasola and Okhla, experienced gloomy skies, with the maximum temperature in the city settling at 34.3 degrees Celsius, one degree below average, according to the IMD. The lowest temperature recorded was 26.6 degrees Celsius. The humidity level fluctuated between 90% and 72%.

Around 8:40 a.m. on Friday, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was 71, in the’satisfactory’ category, according to data from the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR).

An AQI of zero to 50 is deemed “good,” 51 to 100 “satisfactory,” 101 to 200 “moderate,” 201 to 300 “poor,” 301 to 400 “very poor,” and 401 to 500 “severe.”
