Delay In Laal Singh Chaddha’s Post-Production Was ‘Gift In Disguise’, Says Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan, a leading performer in Bollywood, claims that the delay in Laal Singh Chaddha’s post-production was a gift in disguise for his upcoming movie, which would have conflicted with the megahit KGF: Chapter 2 had it released earlier this year. On Sunday, Khan discussed the avoided conflict during a special Laal Singh Chaddha event in Hyderabad. He said that the movie was “saved.” “I recall the enthusiasm that surrounded the impending release of KGF 2 among my own friends and the Hindi-speaking public.

On that day, Laal Singh Chaddha was scheduled for release. Red Chillies was spending some time on the VFX, fortunately for us, so we were rescued! If not, we would have brought KGF 2 with us, Khan told the media.

Originally scheduled to debut on April 14 alongside KGF: Chapter 2, the Kannada action film starring Yash, Laal Singh Chaddha is the Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump from 1994.

Due to delays in the visual effects (VFX) process, Laal Singh Chaddha delayed the release of KGF: Chapter 2. The film exploded at the box office with an opening weekend of more than 53 crore, becoming one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema in 2022. The domestic total for the Prashanth Neel-directed film’s whole run was 434 crore rupees.

Chiranjeevi, who is presenting the Telugu remake of Laal Singh Chaddha, and Naga Chaitanya, who plays a significant role in the movie, also attended the ceremony with Khan.

The success of south Indian films across India, from Pushpa: The Rise to S. S. Rajamouli’s RRR to KGF: Chapter 2, was uplifting, according to Khan.

The Kannada movie KGF, Pushpa, Baahubali, RRR (all Telugu)… These movies all originated in the south of India and are beloved by viewers all around the nation.

“It is amazing to watch how films produced in one Indian state can successfully entertain and provide joy to the entire nation. When it occurs, it’s truly cause for celebration for us, he continued.

Laal Singh Chaddha, which was directed by Advait Chandan and also features Kareena Kapoor Khan, is slated to be released on August 11. The movie will compete at the box office with Akshay Kumar’s “Raksha Bandhan.”
