‘Criticism Of Policies Not Country,’ Congress Hits Back At PM Modi

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked Congressman Rahul Gandhi for comments he made while recently visiting the UK. Rahul Gandhi’s claim that democracy is under “brutal attack,” according to PM Modi, is an insult to Indian culture and its people. Congress responded by asking when critique of the prime minister’s policies turned into criticism of the entire nation.

“Since when has the criticism of your plans extended to the nation as a whole? Congressman Pawan Khera said on Sunday, “You are just the prime minister; you are not the nation, God, or the maker.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi during a speech in election-bound Karnataka in response to comments made by the Wayanad MP while in the UK. The structures of Indian democracy are allegedly under “brutal attack,” according to Rahul Gandhi.

The governing BJP responded angrily to the comments made by the Congress leader. On Sunday, Prime Minister Modi referred to it as an insult to the people of Karnataka, the great traditions of India, its residents, and social reformer Basaveshwara from the 12th century.

The statue of Lord Basaveshwara is located in London, but it is unfortunate that concerns about India’s freedom were voiced there as well. Our long past has nourished the foundations of Indian democracy. India’s democratic traditions cannot be harmed by any force in the globe. Despite this, some continue to put it on trial,” PM Modi said.

A few hours later, the Congress retaliated against PM Narendra Modi, alleging that he is the one “who attacks democracy” and is the reason talks are taking place. The chief of the Congress’ media and publicity branch, Pawan Khera, claimed that the prime minister “wasted” nine years by “abusing” the nation’s elders and ancestors.

“You (the PM) insult three generations when you claim that nothing has changed in the past 70 years and then show no concern for the nation’s reputation. You congratulate yourself in front of the entire world while stating, “ek akela sab par bhari,” according to Khera in a video statement.

When you search foreign media and give the national media the stink eye, are you still concerned about the country’s reputation, Khera questioned.

According to Pawan Khera, the prime minister said in comments made outside of India that people thought it was unfortunate to be an Indian, and he was questioned about whether he was concerned about what he was doing to the nation’s reputation.

“Mr. Prime Minister, you undermine democracy, which is why debates are taking place. The Congress leader asserted that if threats to democracy were being debated in front of Cambridge University students, then such an effort was being made to strengthen democracy.

“You worry a little bit about yourself. Get rid of these self-doubts, he advised. “You are just the prime minister; you are not God; you are not the originator; you don’t cause the sun to rise.

Later, in a tweet, Pawan Khera questioned when critique of the prime minister’s policies turned into criticism of the entire nation.

“Since when has the criticism of your plans extended to the nation as a whole? As a mere prime minister, you are not the nation, God, or the maker, according to Pawan Khera.
