Congress To Hold Anti-BJP Protest Across 300 Locations In Bengaluru For Alleged Corruption

The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) is set to hold mega protest against Bhartiya Janata Party on more 300 locations in Bengaluru on Monday.

The Congress has decided the move on alleged corruption and other scams against Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai led BJP government.

Congress MLA NA Harris while addressing a press conference in Sunday at KPCC office said that top party leaders including state Congress president DK Shivakumar,  former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Congress MLAs will lead their protest at Trinity Circle.

“The state government is not ready to respond to the corruption charges. We have now decided to launch a protest and fight against it. Tomorrow our protest will be held at more than 300 locations in Bengaluru,” said Mr Harris.

According to the sources, the 300 locations include 26 flyovers, 51 metro stations and 200 traffic signals and some other important spots. Through these wide protests the Congress is aiming to draw public’s attentions towards BJP’s alleged corruption and scams happening across the state.

The decision to hold protest by Congress in days after the opposition discovered that the BJP charges 40% commission from government contractors. BJP is also alleged for doing corruption in various recruitements of engineers, police, teachers and many others.

However, the BJP has also attacked Congress by releasing series of posters questioning the allegations put up by the opposition party.
