Congress Lists Out 6 Promises In Its Manifesto Ahead Telangana Assembly Polls.

The Telangana assembly elections saw the unveiling of the Congress’ manifesto on Friday. Abhaya Hastham, the party manifesto, enumerated six promises that will guarantee “realising the dream of Bangaru Telangana.”

For us, the manifesto is comparable to the Bible, the Quran, or the Gita. If it comes to power in the state, we will carry it out,” Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge declared, adding that all six promises would be put into effect at the first cabinet meeting.

According to Kharge, his party is committed to giving Telangana’s citizens social justice, economic empowerment, and unrestricted advancement.

Declarations by Congress in the manifesto:
The party promised giving ₹2,500 monthly financial assistance, gas cylinder at ₹500 and free travel for women under the ‘Mahalakshmi’ scheme.
200 units of free electricity will be provided to all households under ‘Gruha Jyothi’ if it comes to power in the state.
Housing sites will be provided to families not owning a house and ₹5 lakh will be given towards the construction of the house under the ‘Indiramma Indlu’ scheme.
Students will be provided ₹5 lakh assistance under the ‘Yuva Vikasam’ scheme.
All Telangana movement fighters will be provided with a 250 sq yards housing site, as per the Congress election manifesto.
A pension of ₹4,000 per month will be provided to senior citizens, widows, disabled, beedi workers, single women, today tappers, weavers, AIDS and Filaria patients and kidney patients undergoing dialysis under the ‘Cheyutha’ scheme. Congress also assured providing ₹10 lakh worth of health insurance.

Kharge made fun of the ruling BRS and the BJP by stating, “No matter how much work PM Modi and KCR (K Chandrashekar Rao) put in together, the public knows this is a scam, and Congress will win.” He added that KCR’s retirement days are very near.

When Amit Shah, the Union minister, visits the state tomorrow to attend electoral rallies in Gadwal, Nalgonda, and Warnagal, he is scheduled to unveil the BJP’s manifesto.

Voting in Telangana is scheduled for November 30. On December 3, there will be a vote count.
