Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Republic Day that youth without work in the state would receive unemployment benefits. Beginning with the upcoming fiscal year, I will begin paying a monthly unemployment benefit to all young people without jobs in the state, Baghel tweeted.
During the 2018 election campaign, the Congress made it one of their electoral promises.
The party pledged in its platform to provide 2,500 per month to the state’s unemployed youth. When elections were scheduled for the year’s conclusion, the state made the announcement.
The criteria, amount, and budgetary allocation for the programme are now being worked out by the administration, according to sources, and a complete announcement will be made in the forthcoming state budget later this month.
Government representatives are also researching the unemployment allowance concept from Rajasthan. Under the “Mukhyamantri Yuva Sambal Yojna,” the Rajasthani government has been providing jobless benefits from 2019.
The state of Chhattisgarh is 26.2% in debt.
