The National Investigation Agency has been given the case of a twin terror incident by the Center, according to Union Home Minister AMIT Shah on Friday (NIA). The NIA received the file during the first week of January.
Shah, who is in Jammu and Kashmir for a day trip, was unable to meet the relatives of the Rajouri terror attack victims. He did, however, speak with them on the phone.
In order to discuss security concerns in the valley, the Union Home Minister met at a high level in Jammu with government representatives.
The meeting was also attended by Manoj Sinha, the Union Territory’s lieutenant governor.
After the meeting, Shah addressed to the media and said, “I have telephoned each of the seven relatives of the deceased. However, today’s bad weather prevented us from going there, and I was about to meet them there personally. I carefully listened to what they had to say and also had a conversation with Lieutenant Governor Manoj ji. The nation can learn from the bravery of those who gave their life “.
He added that an investigation would be conducted every every occurrence that had place during the previous 15 months.
“Government of India has given the investigation of both incidents which took place over the course of 2 days, to NIA. NIA and Jammu Police will together investigate it. All the incidents that have happened in the last one and a half years will be investigated,” he said.
“A detailed discussion has been held with all the aspects of the security agencies and all kinds of agencies involved in the security of Jammu and Kashmir. Preparations will be made to make a very secure grid in the coming days. Be it BSF, CRPF, Army or Jammu and Kashmir Police, all are ready,” he added.
Attacks on the Upper Dangri village in the Rajouri area of Jammu and Kashmir resulted in the deaths of seven people, including two children, and several injuries on January 1 and January 2.
