The production of a biopic on the life of one of India’s finest cricket players, Yuvraj Singh, who also survived cancer, is much anticipated by his devoted followers.
Yuvraj’s heroic journey from fighting a deadly illness to winning the World Cup in 2011 is well-known and inspirational. Bhushan Kumar from T-series and Ravi Bhagchandka from 200 Not Out Cinema are reportedly collaborating on this project. The biopic’s director and cast, however, have not yet been chosen.
The decision to celebrate Yuvraj Singh and his incredible accomplishments by bringing his astonishing life to the big screen was made in recognition of his enormous contribution to Indian cricket. In 2019, he declared his retirement from cricket.
The film will honour a celebrity who, in the 2007 T20 World Cup, hit six incredible sixes against Stuart Broad of England.
The former cricket player thanked everyone and said he felt incredibly privileged to tell his tale to millions of followers worldwide. In addition, Yuvraj declared his love for cricket and how it has helped him through both his highs and lows. “I hope this film inspires others to overcome their own challenges and pursue their dreams with unwavering passion,” he added.
Ravi Bhagchandka, who is also good friends with Yuvraj, describes the latter as a real legend in every way. Bhagchandkia considers it an honour to be a part of this film interpretation of the cricket player’s amazing journey. He also said, “Yuvi is not just a world champion but a true legend in every sense of the word.”
Whether it’s about cricket or his personal life, Bhushan Kumar, co-owner of T-series, claimed that Yuvraj’s path is inspirational. “I am thrilled to bring a story that needs to be told and heard through the big screen and to celebrate his extraordinary achievements,” he added.
Epic film producer Bhushan Kumar is well-known for his work on films like Animal, Srikanth, and Drishyam 2. Kumar claims that this film would highlight the accomplishments of the renowned cricket player.
Sachin: A Billion Dreams was created by Bhagchandka, the second producer, who describes himself as a “former struggling cricket player.” His next project, Sitaare Zameen Par, starring Aamir Khan, is a remake of the 2018 Spanish film Champions.
He also expressed gratitude to Singh for giving them the go-ahead to film his extraordinary career.
