Pragya Singh Thakur, a BJP leader, hate-monger, and alleged terrorist, gave another anti-Muslim speech in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In the aforementioned speech, Thakur was reminiscing about the time when she and her numerous extremist companions had organised the destruction of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992. Thakur, who is currently free on bail in connection with the 2008 Malegaon bomb case, has repeatedly and candidly discussed her role with the Babri Majid structure, which caused riots in Bombay that resulted in the deaths of both Hindus and Muslims, but no action has been done.
In her most recent statement, she expressed her willingness to perish during the demolition and even recited the violently inciting and disparaging slogan that the Hindu karsevaks had been using to deride the Muslim community. She continues by describing how, despite the fact that her radical peers had informed her that the police might arrest her, she had raised the aforementioned chant during a curfew because she believed that, on this momentous day, she should be permitted to do so and enjoy it.
In the speech she can be heard saying, “Khod ke hataya bhi, aur uske baad humne uski deewar khadi ki. Iss sab mei humari bhoomika thi yeh humara saubhagya hai. Lekin vaha jab bhaag daud hui, aur vaha bhi hungama shuru ho gaya. Hum sab jab jaa rahe the toh mere pitaji ne bola tha ab jaa rahe ho toh lautne ka moh nahi rakhna mann mei. Unhone kaha lautne ka moh mat rakhna mann mei samarpit hoke jao jo bhi hoga ab tum Ram ji ki ho. Aur tabhi hum soch samajh kar gaye the ki jo kaam karenge jo prabhu Ram ji ka hoga, aur chale gaye toh bhi Ram ji ke hi honge. Isliye jab vaha phunche aur bach gaye, toh wapisi mei logo ne kaha naare nahi lagana naare nahi lagana pragya ji. Curfew lagg gaya tha buri tareeke se aur log bol rahe the naare nahi lagana police pakad legi, par humne vahi zor zor ke naare lagaye. Maine kaha aaj bhi naare nahi lagwane doge kya aaj toh anand lene do aaram se. Mandir toh vahi banega aaj toh naare lagane do.”
In front of the entire audience, who were applauding her, she repeated the offensive chant that called for the annihilation of Muslims in the name of Lord Ram.
Why would we regret demolishing the Babri Masjid, Sadhvi Pragya asked outright in an exclusive interview with AajTak in the year 2019? In fact, we take great pride in it. We removed some of the Ram temple’s leftover debris from the area. Our nation’s self-respect has been reawakened as a result, and we will build a magnificent Ram temple. Additionally, she claimed that Hemant Karkare, a martyr of the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attack, was killed because she had cursed him for “falsely implicating her in the 2008 Malegaon blast case.”
Hemant Karkare misrepresented my involvement [in the Malegaon bombings] and harassed me horribly, she claimed. I assured him that his entire dynasty would be destroyed. His karma caused his death. In addition to receiving two notices from the Election Commission for making the aforementioned remarks, Thakur was running for the Lok Sabha seat of Bhopal at the time she said them. Notably, Madhya Pradesh will hold elections at the end of this year, and Thakur is using her divisive views and campaign of hatred to keep the public riled up and win votes for the BJP party.
