Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday finally elected Mohan Yadav as the Chief Minister for Madhya Pradesh ending the days of speculation.
Mohan Yadav, a 58-year-old leader and a three-time MLA from Ujjan was also a part of his predecessor Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s cabinet.
Mr. Yadav will have Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda as his two deputies while, former Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will be the BJP speaker for state.
A video showed former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan offering a bouquet and blessings to newly elected Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
“I am a small worker of the party. I thank all of you, the state leadership and the central leadership. With your love and support, I will try to fulfil my responsibilities,” said the newly elected Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
Talking to media Mr. Yadav also thanks the BJP leadership for showing trust and support in him. “I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, party President JP Nadda,” he said in his gratitude.
This comes days after the BJP swept the state with a majority votes of 163 in this state assembly elections. BJP has been victorious in Rajasthan and Chhatisgarh also.
