The CBI has summoned former governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik to question in an alleged insurance scam in the Union Territory.
When asked by the reporters, Mr Malik said that the central investigating agency has asked him to present at the agency’s Akbar Road guesthouse with some explanations.
“They want certain clarifications for which they want my presence. I am going to Rajasthan so I have given them dates from April 27 to 29 when I am available,” said the former governor.
Last year the agency had examined him for the alleged scam.
The CBI had filed two FIRs in April last year in connection with the alleged corruption levelled by Mr Malik for civil work of ₹ 2,200 crore related to Kiru hydroelectric power project in J&K and for awarding of contracts for group of medical insurance scheme to government employees.
