Amid the surge of Covid-19 cases in Delhi, the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal have decided to hold an emergency meeting today with Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain, health secretary and many other key officials. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 4 pm today.
This comes after when the national capital reported its highest number of Covid-19 cases in more than last two months. In the meeting the chief minister is likely to announce some strict measures to fight against this frightening situation by these new hikes of cases.
However, on Monday, the Health Minister of Delhi Satyendar Jain had said that until the positivity rate is under 1%, the situation in national capital will remain in control.
The health officials have urged the people to strictly follow the Covid-19 guidelines and have asked for more and more of vaccine administration. This sudden surge of Covid-19 cases have make people self-approving and not adhering to the Covid-19 protocols.
Delhi recorded its highest of 536 cases on Wednesday, as Delhi has not reported these many cases in over two-and-a-half months.
This record of 536 cases took the Delhi tally to 6,45,025 out of which about 6.31 lakh have recovered so far.
