Uttar Pradesh Police on Monday said, the man involved in murdering a witness in BSP MLA’s murder case last month has been finally shot in an encounter.
The man named Ushman was among the six shooters who killed Umesh Pal – a key witness in the 2005 murder case of Raju Pal on February 24. Two policemen on security duty for Umesh Pal were also injured, said the police.
A video of killing is doing rounds over the internet raising questions on state’s law and order.
Meanwhile, responding to the questions and concerns over the daylight crime, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ensured that those who are involved in the crime will not left out.
Soon after CM’s remarks, former advisor and BJP MLA Shalabh Mani Tripathi responded by tweeting, “We had said we would crush them. The man who fired the first bullet at Umesh Pal was shot dead in an encounter.”
Medical officer at Prayagraj hospital, Dr Badri Vishal Singh said that Ushman was brought dead, “We performed the examination, following which he was declared dead and the body was sent to the mortuary. He was shot, ” he said.
Raju Pal was murdered in just few months after he won the Allahabad (West) assembly seat defeating former Samajwadi Party MP Atiq Ahmed’s younger brother Khaild Azim. Umesh Pal was a key witness in the murder case.
