Akshay Kumar Takes Dig At CBFC For Granting ‘A’ Certificate Saying ‘Pehli Adult Film Hai Joh Teenagers Ke Liye Bani Hai’

The Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi starrer OMG 2 courted criticism before its release for a variety of reasons. The film made headlines before it ever made it to the big screen when it got into a fight with the Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) after receiving a “A” Certificate and being advised to make certain adjustments to the film. The main theme of the movie, in which Yami Gautam also has a significant role, is se* education for the uninitiated.

The movie ultimately debuted in theatres on Friday, August 11, competing fiercely with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s Gadar 2 at the box office. The box office performance of both films appears to have been strong.

Recently, when OMG 2 had finished, Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi arrived to a theatre and greeted the audience. However, in a video that has gone popular on social media, Akki makes a subtle jab at the CBFC for giving the movie a “A” certificate. “Kamaal ki baat bataun, pehli adult film hai joh teenagers ke liye bani hai,” the celebrity is heard saying in the video. Actually, yeh sab school main dikhana chahiye,” the crowd gasped.

In another segment of the video, viewers argue that OMG 2 should have awarded a “Universal” certificate rather than a “A” because this is a societal issue that everyone should view.

A user commented on the video in response to the same incident, saying, “U/A certificate should be given as s*x education is very important.” Another person chimed in, “Last me, Akshay sir ko dekh ke goosebumps aa gye bhai.”

An further user commented, “UA certificate should be given.”

OMG 2 has made Rs 25.56 crore in sales in just two days since its release. While Gadar 2 had a phenomenal Day 2 haul after a spectacular start.
