An airstrike on a hospital in Gaza where those who were displaced and injured in the Israeli bombings were housed has killed around 500 people on Tuesday, said Hamas-run Health Ministry. These killings have sparked a massive outrage on the streets.
In its reaction the Isearli Army said, “Intelligence from multiple sources we have indicates that Islamic Jihad is responsible for the failed rocket launch which hit the hospital in Gaza”.
The Israeli Army also said that Israel was not on any aerial operation when the airstrike hit the hospital in Gaza and also the rockets that were used in the airstrike did not match Israel’s equipments.
The Hamas in its response said, “The Zionist enemy is trying hard to evade its responsibility for the brutal massacre he committed by bombing the Baptist Arab National Hospital in Gaza through his usual fabrication of lies, and through pointing the finger of blame at the Islamic Jihad movement in Palestine.”
Meanwhile, US President who is heading towards Israel today to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his response said, “I am outraged and deeply saddened by the explosion at the Al-Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza, and the terrible loss of life that resulted”.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also criticized the airstrike and shared his response through his X handle in which he said, “My heart is with the families of the victims. Hospitals and medical personnel are protected under international humanitarian law”.
