Actor-Director Rishabh Shetty Announces Next Part Of Kantara To Be Prequel

Rishab Shetty, the star of the hit series “Kantara,” has indicated that the next installment will be a prequel tale. At a celebration in Bengaluru to mark 100 days of “Kantara” in theatres, the multihyphenate artist revealed information about the eagerly awaited movie. The little town of “Kantara” is centred on in the southern coastal state of Karnataka’s Kaadubettu forests.

A rebel defends his town and nature while weaving an intriguing story of human vs nature struggle in which death causes war between the inhabitants and evil forces, including Shiva.

We are grateful to the audience for their overwhelming love and support as we continue down this path with the help of the All-Powerful Daiva. Since the movie has successfully clocked up 100 days, I’d like to take this chance to reveal that “Kantara” will have a prequel.

“What you just saw is actually Part 2; Part 1 will be released the following year. Since the history of Kantara has greater depth, the idea suddenly came to me as I was filming “Kantara,” and we are currently delving into additional intricacies in terms of the screenplay, Shetty said. The franchise’s writer-director, who also plays the lead role, stated that the prequel’s research is ongoing and that he is unable to reveal any narrative information at this time. Hombale Films’ creator, Vijay Kiragandur, stated that they are working hard to present a story that is “more huge and spectacular than before.”

“Kantara introduced the audience to an entirely new cinema, and since the movie has already run for 100 days, we would love to maintain and even increase the rage that the movie has sparked among viewers on the big screen by announcing the sequel. We can only promise that the sequel to Kantara will be bigger and grander than the first one because Rishab and our team have been working on the plot diligently.” The film has many more things to tell the audience while opening the back story of Kantara.

On September 30, “Kantara” was made available in theatres. Sapthami Gowda, Kishore Kumar G, and Achyuth Kumar were also present in the movie.
