OLA’s electric scooter was just released onto the market. The automobile has garnered positive feedback from the public, as seen by the large number of reservations it has gotten even before its formal introduction. Ola Series S is the name of the electric scooter. The ride-hailing company’s first product has just been released. On India’s Independence Day, the two-wheeler hit the road. The Ola Series S scooter is available in two models: the OLA S1 and the OLA S1 Pro.
The base model, the OLA S1, is priced at Rs 99,999 ex-showroom and features a 2.98 kWh battery pack with an IDC range of 121 kilometres and a top speed of 90 kilometres per hour. Furthermore, the two-wheeler can accelerate from 0 to 40 kilometres per hour in just 3.6 seconds. An 8.5 kW motor produces 58 Nm of peak torque in the Pro model, which costs Rs 1,29,999 ex-showroom.
According to a source, OLA co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal has revealed that the Indian business will also launch an electric car. By 2023, he said, the four-wheeler will be on the road. The co-founder also stated that the company is already working on and preparing the vehicle’s design, and that they are confident in joining the electric car market within the next two years.
If rumours are to be believed, the soon-to-be-released electric car will be designed for use in metropolitan areas. Both personal and fleet buyers will be among the target demographic for this upcoming offering.
“We will get into it in the next two years,” Bhavish added, referring to the four-wheeler debut by 2023. “As we come closer to the project, I’ll go over the details.” OLA is now creating a worldwide design base in Bengaluru, and is claimed to have enlisted the help of several key personnel of Tata Motors’ electric car department to conduct research.
