The actor is working on a new movie with Raees director Rahul Dholakia as the OTT spectacle approaches its release date. Rahul Dholakia will start filming Race 2 this week. The film has rolled out on April 20 near the Grand Hotel near Ballard Estate.
According to insiders, during the next weeks, the unit will film in various parts of the city. The actor is expected to film the tense scene alongside Pratik Gandhi and Deepak Dobriyal by the end of May. Once Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins’ promotions are over, Saif Ali Khan will devote all of his attention to Rahul Dholakia’s project.
Although the project’s specifics are unknown, there are rumors that the actor will portray Sukumar Sen, India’s first election chief commissioner. Saif will appear with Sector36 actor Deepak Dobriyal and Phule actor Pratik Gandhi in the Nikkhil Advani-produced film.
Sukumar Sen’s journey and his leadership of India’s first general elections will be chronicled in the movie. The production design would construct enormous sets to portray 1950s India because the event took place between October 1951 and February 1952. The actor has played a variety of parts and consistently demonstrated versatility throughout his extensive filmography. With a brand-new project in the works, Saif Ali Khan is certain to amaze and thrill his fans to new heights!
Meanwhile, Saif will next be seen with Jaideep Ahlawat in Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins. The actors are starring alongside Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta. Directed by Kookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, the OTT film is backed by Siddharth Anand and is scheduled to release on Netflix from April 25.
