Authorities in the Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh reported that on Monday, their home in a village contained the dead of a 27-year-old farmer, his 25-year-old wife, and three children, ages seven, five, and nine.
Rakesh Dodwa, his wife Lalita Dodwa, and their two sons, Prakash, age seven, and Akshay, age five, were discovered hanging together from the roof of their mud hut with rope. Laxmi, their 9-year-old daughter, was discovered dead on the floor of their Ravdi village home, according to the police.
According to the official, it seems like a suicide case at first glance. But no suicide note was discovered there.
“The information about the death of five people at Ravdi village in Sondwa tehsil was received at 9.20 AM on Monday,” the police official said.
An investigation team led by the Alirajpur SDOP was formed to look into the occurrence.
The event reportedly happened on Sunday between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Police claimed that Rakesh Dodwa was a farmer. In Gujarat, he was employed as a mason as well.
When they arrived, a forensic team and a dog squad took fingerprints. Police stated that a forensic team from Indore is also on their way to the scene and that a videographer will be there for the body autopsy.
On July 1, 2018, at least ten members of a family were discovered hanging from an iron mesh in the ceiling of their Burari, North Delhi, home, while the 77-year-old family leader Narayan Devi’s body lay on the floor in a different room.
