Who Assume Which Ministry In Council Of Ministers ? Here Are Details.

Tuesday saw Union Cabinet Ministers take on the responsibilities assigned to them by their respective ministries following the first Cabinet meeting of the Modi 3.0 government on Monday. Ashwini Vaishnaw, a former bureaucrat, assumed the positions of Minister of Railways and I&B. For the second time in a row, S Jaishankar, a veteran diplomat, took over as External Affairs Minister.

The Cabinet of the Modi 3.0 administration combines continuity and change, with certain top politicians continuing to hold positions from the BJP-led NDA government. The current composition of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) was maintained, with Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nirmala Sitharaman, and S Jaishankar continuing in their respective capacities as Ministers of Defence, Home, Finance, and External Affairs.

Additionally, Nitin Gadkari will continue to serve as Minister of Highways and Road Transport.

All major policy matters, the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, the Department of Atomic Energy, the Department of Space, and any other portfolios not assigned to a minister will fall under the purview of the prime minister.

In terms of new appointments, BJP president JP Nadda will return to his post as health minister, which he had before taking over as party leader, and former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan will assume duties in agriculture and rural development.
