According to the police, there was a confrontation this morning in Jammu and Kashmir between militants and security personnel.
Police received information regarding the presence of terrorists in the Nihama area of Pulwama district, and they promptly began a search operation. Two terrorists are reportedly hiding in the region, according to officials.
“The encounter has begun in the District Pulwama neighbourhood of Nihama. There are security and police personnel on duty. More information will be provided later,” the Kashmir Zone police stated on X, formerly known as Twitter.
According to police, the gunfight started when terrorists opened fire on the security guards while they were conducting a search.
