Jharkhand Government To Go For Floor Test Today, Special Court Allows Hemant Soren To Join

The Jharkhand government led by newly elected Chief Minister Champai Soren will go for a floor test to prove its majority today following major political disturbance created by former Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s arrest.

The majority mark in the 81-assembly seats will be 41.

MLAs from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha were sent to the Congresa-ruled Telangana to prevent any attempt of poaching by the BJP.

The opposition have repeatedly alleged BJP of approaching the MLAs from the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha in state.

There are 47 MLAs in JMM and out of them 43 are supporting the Champai Soren led government.

While, the BJP has 25 MLAs and the AII Jharkhand Students Union has just three. A left party and NCP have only once each.

Despite big objections by the Enforcement Directorate, a special court in Ranchi allowed the former Chief Minister Hemant Soren to take part in the trust vote.

Meanwhile, Mr Soren has claimed that his arrest was part of a huge conspiracy ahead the Lok Sabha elections.
