Govt Convenes All-Party Meet To Deliberate Host Of Issues Ahead Monsoon Session

The government called an all-party meeting on Wednesday to discuss a variety of topics pertaining to the monsoon session of Parliament, which will start on July 20.

At the conference, which is attended by senior government ministers, various parties present their concerns as is typical on the eve of the beginning of a session. PM Modi has also attended a lot of these meetings.

Due to the unavailability of numerous party leaders, the comparable all-party meeting that Rajya Sabha Chairperson Jagdeep Dhankhar had requested for Tuesday has been postponed. The ruling National Democratic Alliance is gathering in the nation’s capital, while opposition parties are assembling in Bengaluru.

Pralhad Joshi and Piyush Goyal were among the members of the Cabinet whom Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met with.

Joshi is the Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, while Goyal is the Leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha.

According to sources, it was related to the all-party meeting that the government summoned as they finalised their positions.

As the ruling coalition develops its plan for the session, separate meetings of BJP leaders will be conducted on Wednesday, followed by those of the BJP-led NDA.

The Parliament session is anticipated to be turbulent as the BJP and opposition parties intensify their attacks on one another in preparation for a number of assembly elections this year and the Lok Sabha election next year.

Along with the concerns of price increases and alleged abuse of investigative agencies, the Congress and other opposition parties are attempting to put pressure on the administration over the Manipur crisis.

The last session was similarly tarnished by persistent opposition demonstrations.
