‘Mixture Of Ethanol And Electricity’ Can Make Petrol Available At ₹15, Says Nitin Gadkari

Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, stated on Wednesday that if an average of 60% ethanol and 40% electricity is used, gasoline will be accessible for $15 per litre and the general public will profit.

Gadkari said, “If an average of 60% ethanol and 40% electricity is taken, then petrol will be available at the rate of 15 per litre and the people will benefit.” He was speaking to the crowd in Pratapgarh, Rajasthan. Imports and pollution will decline. The 16 lakh crore import would instead be used to build farmers’ dwellings.

The Union Minister highlighted the government’s plan to turn farmers into “annadata” (food providers) and “urjadata” (energy providers), respectively.

In Pratapgarh, Rajasthan, earlier on Tuesday, Nitin Gadkari celebrated the groundbreaking and start of construction on 11 national highway projects with a combined value of $5600 crore. Four national highway projects totaling 219 km and $3,775 crore were among them and were formally opened.

According to a press statement from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, “the construction of a four-lane railway overbridge on National Highway 162A at Fatehnagar will solve the problem of traffic jam at a railway crossing.”

“Construction of high-level bridge on Chambal river in Mandrayal under CRIF was inaugurated today. With the construction of this bridge, connectivity will be maintained between Mandrayal, Karauli in Rajasthan and Sabalgarh in Madhya Pradesh.”

In Rajasthan, approval of 74 projects under the Central Roads Fund at a cost of ₹2250 crore was also announced during this program. “The work on these projects will start soon.”

“The construction of the Pratapgarh bypass will reduce the traffic pressure inside the city. With the construction of the road from Raas to Biaora, the vehicles going towards Bhilwara will be facilitated. Tribal areas of Dungarpur, Udaipur and Banswara regions will get better connectivity. With the construction of a bypass in Sangwara and Garhi, the distance of Dungarpur-Banswara will be reduced by 10 km.”

The release further added, “Thirteen animal underpasses will be constructed in Todgarh Wildlife Sanctuary on the Beawar-Gomti road for the protection of wildlife.”
